NATO expands its capabilities of observing the satellite of large territories, which will monitor military movements in Ukraine and Russian borders along with Eastern European countries. It was said by Commander -in -Chief of NATO Transformation Forces Pierre Vandier in an interview with Bloomberg on Thursday, June 12.

According to him, the new tool will first allow the NATO to observe the “large territory”, including maneuvers, troops’ movements and battlefields.

“Now we’re not sure the Russians will stop in Ukraine. We can tell them: We see you,” Vandeu said.

To implement the initiative, an American supplier of satellite shots Planet Labs was selected. The purpose of the project is to perform frequent monitoring of the world’s large territories over the year, using AI to adjust changes and automatic warnings.

According to one of NATO’s representatives, this technology can also be used to observe the Arctic, which gains an increase in strategic significance against the background of strengthening the interests of Russia and China in the region.

Remember that in Russia they said the war in Ukraine would not end until NATO removed its military in the Baltic region countries.
