Shmygal made a statement about the booking of the priests

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal said there are significant changes to the issue of clergy reservations and only technical issues will remain. On Wednesday, June 11, he wrote to Telegram following a meeting with members of the All -ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations.

“In December 2024, the government opened the possibility for booking clergy. As in this direction, the major change remained in this direction. The technical activities remained. It provided civil service to the state service in ethnopolitic and freedom of conscience to accelerate relevant methods,” the report said.

During the meeting, Shmygal mentioned the need for the warriors of the forces of defense of the strengthening of spiritual support. According to him, there is a request to ensure that the process of replacing posts of military chaplains from churches and religious organizations is faster.

The Prime Minister also said there was an initiative to create the Institute of Medical Capellation. On June 11, the associated draft legal law was subject to an interagency agreement.

Note that religious organizations in Ukraine have been given the right to book from the mobilization of the priests. The Ukraine state service for Ethno -Policy and Freedom of Conscience (GISS) has approved a list of critical religious organizations that allow for reservation. Only 7736 religious organizations have the right to book 100% priests. In total, in Ukraine, 30 thousand organizations.

Remember that in December 2024, the Ministers’ cabinet allowed to book from stirring up to 50% of the clergy.
