The leaders of the South European countries condemned the Russian Federation military invasion of Ukraine.
Serbia President Aleksandar Vucich said he did not sign the Ukrainian Tag -South declaration – South Europe in Odessa and thus “did not betray Russia.” On Wednesday, June 11, after the summit, he told reporters, the Serbia’s edition of SRBIJA Danas was written.
In particular, Vucich said that through his visit to Odessa he did not betray Russia and “the one who did not accept the expression of the” summit in Odessa.
“It’s not like these (other participants at the summit. – Ed.), Ready to accept everything taught against Russia, all they can,” Vucic said.
He added that Serbia is protecting the interests of international public law, always guided by its own interests.
“I am proud of the policy of Serbia, our freedom, autonomy, and we will continue to do so,” the President of Serbia emphasized.
The declaration published on the Ukraine president’s website confirms that the wucic is the only participant in the Ukraine Summit – South Europe, who has not signed. In the document, among other things, the most “decisive way” was condemned by the Russian war against Ukraine.
The document in Odessa was signed by the leaders of Ukraine, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Albania, Northern Macedonia and Slovenia. Participants have pledged to strengthen the cooperation in Ukraine in the field of security, human security and energy security, as well as support the country in the post -war renewal process.
Summit participants also confirmed the Euro -atlantic aspirations of Ukraine and the states of the region.
It should be noted that Alexander Vuchich’s visit was the first in Ukraine during an entire war in Russia. In May, he, along with Slovak’s prime minister Robert Fitzo, became Europe’s only representative at the level of leaders at Moscow on the day of victory on May 9.
