In Poland, the majority of the Sejm expressed confidence in Donald Tuska.
About this today, June 11, reports DW.
The current composition of SEIMAS is 460 deputies. 243 MPS expressed the trust of the coalition government in Tusk, 210 deputies – against.
Tusk himself invited a vote to confidence in the government after a recent defeat of his political ally, mayor of Warsaw Rafala Trakavsky in the second round of the presidential election, which forced him to look for a way to restore his power.
Tusk explained the need for such a vote by the fact that Poland was in a new reality after the election.
I ask you to vote for trust with full conviction that we have a mandate to manage, take full responsibility for what is happening in Poland, ”he said.
According to the Polish radio, before the vote, the Prime Minister submitted a statement in the Seimas in which he outlined the action plan of the Coalition Cabinet of Ministers over the next two and a half years. He was discussed with the leaders of the parties who are in the coalition. Tusk announced his readiness to continue to lead the cabinet of ministers.
