Rubio insists on continuing conversation between Ukraine and Russia

The US State Secretary considers it important to continue the direct communication between Russia and Ukraine to achieve a sustainable world.

State Secretary Marco Rubio on Saturday, June 7, held a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Nonela Barro. During the conversation, the parties, in particular, discussed steps aimed at ending the war in Ukraine, the US State Department’s press service said.

“The leaders also discussed current efforts aimed at the end of the war in Ukraine. State Secretary Rubio emphasized the importance of continuing direct communication between Russia and Ukraine to achieve a sustainable world,” the report said.

Remember, on June 2, negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine and Russia took place in Istanbul.
