Beijing is increasingly striving to recruit Russian detectives and get secret technologies. In addition, Moscow is concerned that China may try to get its territory.
Despite statements of strengthening friendship and the “golden period” of cooperation between Russia and China, Moscow considers Beijing an enemy and threat. This is stated in the New York Times material, which was published on Saturday, June 7.
Publication of the publication says they have eight -page internal internal FSB planning documents, which is recognized as China as a “threat” for the country’s national security. All because he is increasingly trying to recruit Russia’s spies, aims to obtain secret military technologies, monitor Russian military actions during the war in Ukraine, etc.
Publication journalists have shown received documents to intelligence representatives, and they have confirmed their authenticity. Documents dated until the end of 2023 – the beginning of 2024.
The documents have noted that China has been driving Russian military operations in Ukraine to learn about weapons and wars in the western. Also in the Russian Federation they are afraid that Chinese scientists have laid the basis for Russian territory claims. And they warned that Chinese intelligence agents are conducting an Arctic spy using mining companies and university research centers as a cover.
In addition, China aims to receive strategic development of Russian aviation. Perhaps for this, China plans to attract Russian engineers and developers.
Also in Moscow they are unhappy that China has developed a new approach for influence in Central Asia, which Russia considers the globe of its influence. This is not known from the document if China wants to dispel Russia from the region. But the country is already introducing its policy in Central Asia, for example in Uzbekistan.
FSB intelligence calls on actions against Chinese intelligence “tense.” From documents to the New York Times, it follows that China actively uses the fact that Russia has left all its resources – military and special service – for war against Ukraine.
China is actively recruiting officials, entrepreneurs, scientists, developers, even journalists and experts near the Russian government to advance their interests.
China itself reviews its agents when it comes from Russia and carefully monitors Russian students in China. Russia also does not trust China – the FSB conducts counterintelligence actions against the Russians encouraged by special Chinese services.
Moreover, the material record that FSB actions are limited to the decision of Russian authorities in “friendship” in China. Russian’s leading officials, among them are the personal leader of the Russian Federation Putin, who actively promotes good relations between China and Russia, so Russia’s intelligence services may not be open to call China a “enemy” in reports. If Chinese intelligence agencies actually take actions for Russia and it should be displayed in the documents – Russian intelligence services should obtain permission from senior management.
Earlier, the intelligence reported that this year the Russian Federation plan to produce 2 million FPV lane using the PRC.
As reported, China has significantly reduced the supply of mavic drones and components in Ukraine and West countries, but instead increases their exports to Russia.
