Poland’s side has changed his mind to buy 32 helicopters due to a “significant change in circumstances”, the agency of purchase of the weapon explained.
The weapon capture agency for the Poland army has canceled the purchase procedure for 32 S-70I Black Hawk helicopters from the PZL Mielec plant until American Lockheed Martin’s concern. This was said by the weapon’s acquisition agency, Lieutenant Colonel Greegozh Polakoy, Onet report on Friday, June 6.
“There has been a significant change in circumstances, as a result of which the procedure or implementation of the adoption -does not match the company’s interests, which cannot be predicted earlier,” he said.
Polae added that the agency “should be fulfilled by the current priority tasks for the armed forces.”
“So far, the implementation of this specific task has been postponed. We are waiting for a solution – if it is adopted, the Armament agency will start actions,” he assured.
S-70I helicopters are a version of the export of popular multi-purpose black hawk, made at the PZL Mielec factory owned by Lockheed Martin. The plans are the following order 32 Black Hawk for land forces.
Publication remembers that Poland tried to buy new multi -purpose helicopters for the Army for 10 years. In 2015, at the last moment, the government of law and justice rejected the transaction with the purchase of 50 French Caracal Helicopter.
Now, after 10 years, a similar maneuver before buying 32 American Black Hawk helicopters is made by the government of Donald Tusk.
S-70I helicopters are a version of the export of popular multi-purpose black hawk, made at the PZL Mielec factory, owned by Lockheed Martin.
At the same time, the Poland military is waiting for the 96 AH-64D shock helicopter ordered last year. Their delivery is scheduled for 2028-2032. They will replace the old Soviet MI-24, which is now used.
