“People have experienced horrible tragedies, people are still there where they are afraid. If we talk about sexual violence, it exists. Moreover, sexual crimes are not only against women, but against men! Now, the reality of the rape of a grandmother! Children! “, said the Attorney General.
He noted that there are likely to be more sexual crimes than are known today.
“The victims are intimidated, the victims are afraid to speak! We have some victims in Western Ukraine, some victims are already abroad. They only interact with non-governmental organizations and priests So, of course, we will do it as much as possible in a sensual space. But this is not a story that there should be a female investigative, it is a story that there should be only one interrogation for the victim to continue to be “not pulled ”… This is a story about preparing the victim of moral sexual violence and giving him or her rehabilitation, – Venediktova emphasized.
He also stressed that sexual crimes during war are also war crimes with no law of limitations.
