“Discussions have begun in your countries about increasing the manufacture of the blades, Iris-T systems, etc., they can be done in Ukraine. These air defense systems will boost our overall security. After all, what we will do here will protect you and us,” said the head of the state.
According to him, Ukraine is implementing a number of joint projects with partners in the field of weapons. We are talking about investments aimed at developing the Ukrainian military -industrial complex.
“We want to increase production by 50%. After all, we know that the Ukrainian industry is needed. We have strength, we have reserves, we have the desire, we need funding. And we are willing to provide detailed calculations,” Zelensky added.
The president also recalled the accomplishments of Ukraine in improving drones, in particular, within the operational framework Web.
In addition, he informs that the Ukrainian budget currently provides $ 70 billion for the purchase of weapons.
We added that in March the President said Ukrainian was preparing agreements with an increase in Ukrainian production of weapons, especially drones. Later, the European Commissioner for Defense Andryus Cubilyus confirmed that part of funds from the Rearm Europe Plan for 800 billion euros will be sent to Ukraine’s military support.
