The director of one of the communal businesses, who acted as a mediator in the transfer of bribes to Kievzelenbud’s leadership, was reported. It was reported on June 3 by DBR.
It was noted that Kievzelenbud officials during the work performance at one of the capital parks in 2024 requested 15% of the contract value for “approved” and conclusion of the contract from the contractor. He assures the participation of the “required” company, helps with the soft organization and should act as a mediator when transferring unlawful benefits to the amount of more than 1 million UAH.
According to the investigation, the leadership of Kievzelenbud systematically demanded from contractors “kicks” at 15% of the contract value for signing actions of work performed without evaluating their quality and quantity. This skill covers all contracting organizations that have cooperated with the business, and acts on the quiet consent of the city management.
In particular, in February 2025, 10 extortion cases and 5 facts of receiving bribes worth more than 3 million UAHs were recorded. Generally, participants in the scheme are planning to receive at least 25 million UAH of illegal benefits.
The communal business director reported the suspicion of complexity in the announcement of an offer of unlawful benefits to an officer. He faced up to 10 years in prison.
Earlier in March, the suspicion was reported to the leaders of Kievzelenbud. The court selected them a measure of restraint in the form of restraint with an alternative to a commitment to the amount of more than 51 million UAH for each. The suspicion of four leaders of contracting organizations involved in the implementation of the corruption scheme has also been reported.
It was also reported that the DBR reported the suspicion of the director of a private business, which had transferred a bribe for participation in the scheme along with the distribution of Kievzelenbud tenders.
