The head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, announced a personal meeting with the head of the Ukrainian delegation, the minister of Defense Rustema Umerov in Istanbul. This was reported by Rossmi on Monday, June 2.
Initially, Russian propaganda media published information on the alleged personal meeting of Medinsky and Umarov before negotiating delegations in Istanbul, which lasted 2.5 hours.
Later, the assistant to the Russian dictator himself confirmed this information and noted that the meeting “played an important role” in the preparation of the general session of negotiations.
Remember, on June 2, negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine and Russia took place in Istanbul. According to the results of the meeting, the parties reached the agreement with the next exchange of some military categories, Kyiv also provided a list of several hundred Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. And in the Russian delegation they said they offered Kyiv a temporary stop in some sections of the front.
