The commander of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces, Mikhail Dropati, presented a resignation report after the Rashists did today, June 1, a landing blow, which killed 12 Ukrainian military from the training battalion.
Dropaty reported this on his Facebook page.
I decided to submit a report on the resignation from the post of commander of the land forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ”said Drapatai. -This is a conscious step dictated by my personal sense of responsibility for the tragedy at the 239th landfill, which led to our soldiers.
As a commander, I could not fully provide my orders. He did not compress, did not convince, did not change his attitude towards a person in order. This is my responsibility, ”he added.
According to Drapatat, the behavior of fighters matters, but the main responsibility is always fulfilled. These are commanders who define the rules, make decisions and are responsible for the consequences:
A circular pledge and impunity are poison for the army. I tried to eradicate him from the ground forces. But if the tragedies are repeated, then my efforts were not enough.
He emphasized the need to change the attitude to service and recognize errors.
Without personal responsibility – there is no development. Without development – there is no victory, ”Dropaty emphasizes. – The army in which commanders bear personal responsibility for people’s lives – life. The army, where no one is responsible for the loss, dies from the inside.
He also said that he initiated an audit of all the circumstances of the tragedy: the actions of the commanders, the state of shelters, the effectiveness of warning systems.
All victims help. But no check will return those whom we have lost, ”he added. – We do not win this war if we are not building an army where honor is not a word, but an action. Where responsibility is not a punishment, but the basis of trust. Where each commander is responsible for the order, for the decision, for the person.
