Self-announced President of the Abkhazia Badra Gunba announced his desire to equip a material and technical base in the area of Ochamchiri to support Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. This was reported by the Russian propaganda agency Tass.
According to Gunba, the initiative will help strengthen military cooperation between the Abkhazia and the Russian Federation, especially in the field of defense.
“We are not talking about creating a Naval base such as, but about opening a material and technical base precisely for the Black Sea Fleet in the area of Okamchiri,” he said.
Remember that the Parliament of Abkhazia voted against the ratification of the Russian Federation agreement.
