Russian drones could spy on the patrol vessel of the Federal Police of Germany.

On May 17, the BP 81 police ship watched the Russian cargo ship on the way to Belgium in the North Sea. At some point, the Germans recorded seven drones with red and green navigation lights, which accompanied both a cargo ship and a patrol. This was reported by Der Spiegel with reference to the confidential report of security forces.

It is noted that the police cannot fix the drones in the dark, because there was no suitable equipment. Therefore, at this time it is not known whether they were launched from a Russian ship.

The German police have already asked Belgian law enforcement officers to inspect the ship in the port of appointment. The search conducted by customs officers did not find any traces of drones and did not record suspicious behavior among 11 crew members.

We recall that these are not the first such cases when unknown drones are noticed in Germany. In December 2024, many unknown drones were noticed at the US military base. Drones also recorded objects belonging to the defense problem of Rheinmetall and BASF chemical issues. German intelligence services then looked for drones, but to no avail.

And in January 2025, unknown drones were found six times above the military base in Swave. On the territory of this military unit, the Ukrainian military was trained in the air defense systems of the patriot.
