Law enforcement officials reported the suspicion of a 39-year-old resident of the LVIV regional district of the LVIV region, which fraudulently gained more than 900 thousand hryvnias from a soldier from Odessa. This was informed through the LVIV regional police press service on Friday, May 30.
The suspect created a fake page on one of the social networks, where he pretends to be someone else who uses pictures of other people. So he met a 21-year-old soldier.
The attack created the illusion of a close relationship with a person and began to argue -time to apply to him with requests under a variety of fiction preparations to transfer funds to his account -it is said to be at his brother’s funeral, for the treatment of injuries allegedly received in an accident, etc. Thus, the woman received about 130 thousand hryvnias.
Over time, the defendants’ “appetite” grew, and he asked the soldier to move a bank card to him so he could buy a house where they could later survive. Received the card, the woman withdrew nearly 800 thousand hryvnias from the score.
He provides all these funds and is spent at his discretion.
The woman was informed about the suspicion of fraud under part 3 of art. 190 Uku, theft under part 4 of Art. 185 UKU and abduction of documents under part 1 of Art. 357 UKU.
He faced up to eight years in prison.
