In Ukraine, the Children’s Day was postponed on another date, which was celebrated annually on June 1.
The corresponding decree of President Vladimir Zelensky No. 355/2025, May 30, was published on the website of the presidential office. This comes into force on the day of its publication.
In accordance with the decree:
- Children’s Day “In order to establish children’s protection as a national priority of Ukraine, strengthen and combine the efforts of an international community aimed at protecting the rights and best interests of the child, the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child” were postponed until November 20 – the date when the children’s day falls;
- Decree of the President of Ukraine of May 30, 1998 No. 568/98 “On the Day of Children’s Protection” is invalid.
