NASA published a photograph of a bright star ring in a spiral galaxy located 50 million light years from the ground.
The data used in this image were obtained from hundreds of observations conducted using the Gabble space telescope and Alma radio telescope from the attack desert. The combination of observations helps astronomers to make a diagram of ties between huge clouds of cold gas and very hot young stars that form in them.
You can see several objects in this picture:
- Bright -blue ring, which contains burning young stars;
- A bright point surrounded by a cross pattern is a star from our galaxy surrounded by diffraction peaks (local maximums of light intensity that occur during the movement of light from obstacles);
- The red elongated place nearby is another galaxy that is located far beyond the borders of the depicted here.
