The armed attack on the military aviation base of the Russian Khmeimim in Syria was made unknown.
Armed people, probably, members of the Syrian radical groups, attacked several Russian military control points around the airbase located in the west of the country. During the attack, the shooting was heard. This was reported by the local agency Anha.
And, according to the Syrian Center for Human Rights, after the Khmeimim attack, an “unprecedented security stress” is observed. And the media write about knocking down drones flying at the air base.
Currently, there is no information about the scale of the loss of the Russian army and who attacked the base.
At the same time, Russian propaganda claims that the four “Martin terrorists” from Uzbekistan, who allegedly did not recognize the Syria government, headed by Ahmed Esh-Sharaa, attacked the Khmeimim base. Three of them were allegedly eliminated.
Recall that in January the new Syrian authorities terminated the agreement with Russia to manage the port of Tartus, which was supposed to operate within 49 years. This Syrian port is strategic for Moscow, because it is the only one for the country of the aggressor in the Mediterranean.
And in February, Russian ships began to export ammunition from Syria.
