The foreign minister also emphasized the need for “brave and big decisions” to prevent Russia.
EU member countries have already been given to Ukraine two-thirds of the promised two million artillery shells. On Tuesday, May 20, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrei Samiba said after a meeting with EU diplomacy Kaya Callas.
“EU member countries have provided two -thirds of two million artillery shells, and we work to provide the rest soon. I thank Kai for his important initiative,” Sybiga wrote on Social Network X.
He also announced the need to make “brave and good decisions” to prevent Russia and speed up the Ukraine entry process into the EU.
“We agree with the need to advance the same processes forward,” Sybiga added.
Earlier, President Vladimir Zelensky reported that this year Ukraine counts three million artillery shells from partners. Of these – 1.8 million in the framework of the Czech initiative.
Remember that in January, Czech President Peter Pavel said the Czech initiative to buy shell artillery in third countries has allowed Ukraine to transfer 1.6 million ammunition.
