According to him, the states will participate in world activities, if it makes sense. “It’s not about saving money, but about giving our people what we deserve: foreign policy, making America more powerful, safer and more prosperous,” the head of the U.S. Department of the United States said.
At the same time, he announced an additional reduction in ineffective US help programs, emphasizing that it should really strengthen the American position.
Rubio emphasized the need for in -depth structural reforms, re -imagine external aid and returned the role of a leading American foreign policy to the State Department.
“When I came four months ago, I clearly said: The State Department must be the heart and brain of foreign American policy – not just an instrument of actions, but a source of ideas. We are on the path,” he said.
The Secretary of State has made the main emphasis on the reform of transferring the powers of foreign ministry to the Bureau and the Embassy of the Region. According to him, decisions on priorities and programs in various regions should be made on the ground considering the local context.
Rubio also criticized the external US help system, saying that only 12 cents from each dollar reached the recipients. In this regard, he announced a further reduction in ineffective programs, rather than which “wise, effective help” would be provided, which really strengthened the positions of the United States.
“We will still be the largest donor in the world – more than 10 countries combined, and many times more than China. They do not provide humane help. They provide debts,” the State Secretary, who criticizes Beijing’s policy as part of the initiative of “A Belt, One Way”.
Rubio also responded to criticizing senators about the current US administration policy on a number of questions – especially related to Ukraine’s migrants and support.
In particular, according to him, the United States is actively cooperating with NATO countries, with batteries of Patriot air defense systems to send these complexes to Ukraine.
