The European Union imposes sanctions against Russia through the use of its military chemical weapons against defenders of Ukraine.

- Troops of radiological, chemical and biological protection;
- 27th Scientific Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation;

This decision was made taking into account the reports of the organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons (OPHZ) published in November 2024 and February 2025, which confirmed the availability of the EU.
Such substances are used as a method of war by Russian troops in Ukraine, which is a violation of the Convention on the ban on chemical weapons, the state participant of which is Russia, added to the EU Council.
The sanctions provide for the freezing of assets, as well as a ban on the direct or indirect position of funds or economic resources. In addition, people are prohibited from entering the EU.
The European Union also imposed sanctions for suppression against the opposition and violations of human rights in the Russian Federation.
28 people. Judges, prosecutors, representatives of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and regional courts, as well as employees of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, who participated in the factory of cases against various activists, fell under sanctions.
