In response to a systematic Russian campaign with media manipulation, the EU has gained the opportunity to suspend Russian media licenses under Kremlin’s control, as well as to inhibit them with a broadcast on EU territory. At the same time, according to the Charter of EU’s basic rights, these steps do not limit journalists’ activities outside of broadcasting – in particular research or interview.
Among the new defendants on the list of penalties were former Ukrainian politicians and businessman Viktor Medvedchuk, who, by Artem Marchevsky and Oleg Voloshin, controls the Pro -Russian media and funds the propaganda channel “Voice of Europe” and the “other” other “other” other
“Medvedchuk promotes policies and actions aimed at degrading legitimacy and confidence in the Ukraine government, which directly supports interests in the policy of the Russian Federation’s foreign policy and spreads pro -russian propaganda,” the statement said.

Two Russian fishing companies are also included – Norebo JSC and Murman Sea Food – due to participation in spying operations and sabotage against underwater infrastructure.
Separately, the EU was punished by the state business “The main radio frequency center” (GRFC) and its head Ruslan Nesterenko for “jamming” and distortion of GPS-signals in Baltic countries, affecting civilian aviation.
In addition, Viktor Lukonenko, head of the African initiative agency, who distributed incorrect information to the Kremlin in Africa, fell under penalties; Justen Blez – head of International Africa Media; Silven Afua was the founder of the “Black Africa Defense League” prohibited in France; Hosting company Stark Industries, CEO Yuri Nekulit and owned Ivan Nekuliti -for participating in cyber and propaganda attacks.
All defendants on the list of penalties are frozen properties, prohibiting entry into the EU, while Europeans prohibit financial cooperation with them.
Remember that the UK announced 100 new penalties against Russia – restrictions were applied to the country’s military, energy and financial sectors.
