The Hungarian parliament finally approved the country’s exit from the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.
Hungarian deputies approved the bill at the beginning of the process of rejection of the ISS. 134 parliamentarians voted for “against” – 37, writes Reuters.
Hungary will officially leave the jurisdiction of the court in the Hague a year after the UN Secretary General receives an official notification from the country.
On April 3, the Hungarian government made the corresponding decision. This was reported by the State Information Agency MTI, the head of Prime Minister Viktor Orban Hergea Gulyash, reports Reuters.
The application was made shortly after the Prime Minister Israeli Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in Hungary, whose arrest was issued in November 2024. Politics is accused of war crimes.
