The military of the Russian Federation keeps hundreds of cars with citizens who want to leave the occupied territory at checkpoints, transferring equipment and personnel behind their backs.

At the checkpoint in Vasilyevka, Zaporozhye region, huge queues formed to leave the occupied territory – more than 1,500 cars. This was announced by the head of Zaporizhia OVA Oleksandr Starukh.

According to him, the invaders did not let the residents in, turning them into human shields.

“Vasilievka continues to be under occupation, more than half of the population has left it. Huge queues of more than 1,500 cars appear at the checkpoints, because the occupiers do not let them in and use people as shields of people, moving equipment and personnel behind them,” said Starukh.

He recalled that during the active phase of the battle, Vasilievka suffered significant damage: a hospital and infrastructure facilities were destroyed.

Earlier it was reported that the enemy drove heavy equipment and explosives into the engine room of the ZNPP power unit. And in Melitopol, the invaders took the oxygen plant equipment.
