The Security Service has confined a 42-year-old Russian military intelligence agent in the Chernihiv region, which has given coordinates of checkpoints, posts and routes of Ukraine’s armed forces. This was informed by the SBU press service on Monday, May 19.
“Security Service’s counterintelligence has been confined by another Russian military intelligence agent (better known as GRU) in the Chernihiv region. The attack has stabbed Ukrainian troops involved in the protection of the northern border of our state,” the report said.
The agent should identify and transfer coordinates of local checkpoints, commands and observation points and logistics centers of defense forces. He also tried to explore the major routes for transferring military transportation.
