The Russian Defense Ministry has reiterated that its Russian occupiers have “destroyed” US HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) in Ukraine. The Russian department announced this on its Telegram channel on Friday, July 22.
In the report, they brought to HIMARS the information about the alleged breakdown of the loading vehicle. However, no such machine exists, because the block of shells is loaded by the rig itself.
“Four launchers and one US-made HIMARS transport-loading vehicle were destroyed in Ukraine from July 5 to July 20,” the ministry tried to convince the citizens of the Russian Federation.
It should be noted that the Russian media regularly declares the “destruction” of the American MLRS, but does not provide any evidence for their words.
The United States has emphasized that Russia has not been able to destroy a rocket system that Washington handed over to Kyiv.
Recall, the US National Security Council reported that the White House will provide Ukraine with a new military assistance package, which will include a batch of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and ammunition for them.
In addition, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the US will transfer four more HIMARS systems to Ukraine.
