On the day of the struggle for the rights of Crimean Tatar People, Ukraine President Vladimir Zelensky said Crimea, like the whole of Ukraine, should be free, and the empires always fall.
“Today is a day reminding why any cruel empire deserves to fall. 81 years ago, the Soviet government began their own land and thrown into a road that became a death penalty for thousands of and thousands of people, at least one third of the people who were lost due to illnesses, hunger, bullying and rotten,”
According to Zelensky, this tragedy made it possible because of the totalitarian system of criminal and the motion of the leaders in Moscow.
“The tragedy should not be repeated. But another Russian occupation in Crimea took place in 2014, and now thousands of families, unfortunately, are divided. Again, you have to fight freedom and your own home,” he added.
“We honored the memory of all the victims of eviction, the genocide of these people of Crimean Tatar. We remember how important it was for people to return home. We work to protect our independent state, all of our people, the whole land,” the President called.
Remember, on May 18, Ukraine celebrated the day of the struggle for the rights of the Crimean Tatar people and honored the memory of victims of the Crimean Tatars genocide on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the tragedy of their mass deport.
As reported, the Majlis of Crimean Tatar people said Crimea, temporarily conquered by the Russians, was and remains an integral part of Ukraine.
