Since the start of the conflict, Ukraine has received $12.7 billion in Western financial aid, NBU Governor Kirill Shevchenko said, Ukrinform reports.
“Since the beginning of the war, international partners have announced the amount of financial support for the country at the level of more than $27 billion. These funds are used to meet the basic budget needs. Today the budget of Ukraine is received $12.7 billion. Ukraine received the largest amount in June-July, it was more than 6 billion dollars,” he said.
According to Shevchenko, more than 50% of the budget deficit was financed through the issue of the NBU in March-June.
Recall that a memorandum was signed between the EU and Ukraine on the provision of a tranche of macro-financial assistance for 1 billion euros.
Ukraine also reportedly received another $1.7 billion in aid from the United States.
