Preparation for the exchange of prisoners with the Russian Federation in the format “1,000 by 1000” begins.
The joint center for the coordination of the search and release of prisoners in the Security Service of Ukraine has already begun preparatory measures for exchange. Intelligence is a list of Russian soldiers conducted in Ukrainian captivity and can be transferred to the country of the aggressor. This was announced on May 17 by the press center SBU.
In addition, together with the Ministry of Health and all relevant structures, the Security Service of Ukraine is preparing for the reception of Ukrainian soldiers who are currently captured.
Among other things, this is prepared:
- relevant infrastructure,
- locations,
- Medical personnel necessary for the reception, support and rehabilitation of our military.
We recall that on the eve during negotiations in Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul, the delegation agreed with the exchange of prisoners of war in the “thousands per thousand” format. Vadim Skibitsky, deputy head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said that Kyiv is already starting to develop lists of people who plan to return as part of an exchange with Russia in a format of 1000 per 1000 people.
The head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kirill Budanov, suggested that a large large -scale exchange of prisoners of 1000 per 1000 people between Ukraine and the Russian Federation could take place next week.
