The treatment of HIV infection for all patients in Ukraine is free and adapted to the situation in the country.
Since the beginning of the year, 2025 new cases of HIV infection and 669 AIDS cases have been registered in Ukraine. This was announced by the Ministry of Health’s Press Service on Friday, May 16.
“Since the beginning of the year, 669 AIDS cases have been registered in Ukraine, 235 deaths caused by AIDS,” the report said.
The Ministry of Health noted that the treatment of HIV infection for all patients is free and adapted to the situation in the country. Quick tests for diagnosis allow you to get the result after 15-30 minutes. You can undergo a test for HIV directly when contacting a family doctor or health care institutions, and non -governmental patients also provide tests for rapid diagnostics.
According to the Ministry of Health, today in Ukraine 116 730 people living with HIV are receiving antiretroviral therapy, and 96% of them have an uncertain level of viral loading. This means that people live an ordinary, whole -living life and do not send HIV to others.
