According to him, despite the efforts of the Russian invaders to burn the fields, the farmers continued to work.
“We see from the indicators of the harvest that has already been harvested, although the harvest is only in the active phase of two weeks, that there are no threats in the next marketing year in terms of the physical availability of the main agricultural products. will collect enough products to ensure domestic consumption, including others for export,” said Vysotsky.
The official mentioned that it is time to think about the autumn sowing season, which should start in September. The Deputy Minister said that during the spring sowing campaign, 25% of the area was not sown.
“Probably, these same territories – occupied, where battles are taking place – are physically difficult to sow. And after liberation, demining, cleaning, etc. are needed. But we hope that this number will not increase ” Vysotsky summed up.
As reported, over the past few days, more than 230 hectares of wheat have burned in the Beryslav and Genichesk districts of the Kherson region.
