Road maps are associated with the scope of law management, public administration reforms and the functioning of democratic institutions.
On May 14, the Cabinet of Ukraine Ministers approved the road maps needed to open the first cluster of negotiations with the European Union – “Basis of the EU join process.” This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on Wednesday, May 14th.
Documents cover the key spheres: the rule of law, the reform of public administration and the functioning of democratic institutions. They comply with Ukraine’s international obligations, as well as strategic and programmatic state documents.
In addition, the government approved the position of Ukraine negotiations with the first cluster of negotiations.
“We take important steps in membership in the European Union. Our goals do not change: this year to open negotiations in all six clusters, and after the end of the war – to become an integral part of United Europe,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
Keep in mind that the President of Lithuania Gitanas is suggested to be identified on January 1, 2030 as the date of Ukraine’s entry into the European Union.
Note that the EU procedure refers to 35 sections of negotiations. According to them, the European Commission first holds an official screening of compliance with Ukraine law in EU law. 33 out of 35 sections of negotiations are combined with six thematic clusters, while sections 34 institutions and 35 other issues will be considered separately, out of clusters.
As you know, Vladimir Zelensky hopes to accept Ukraine in the European Union during the work of the new European Commission composition.
