The drones of the drones along with the vulgar system sensors will be able to patrol the sea for months, looking for suspicious sounds.
Ways -Autonomous drones will patrol the ocean, discovering the movement of Russian submarines and protecting critical infrastructure. This was reported by the British newspaper The Times.
The British Ministry of Defense stores magnetic tapes with acoustic signatures of enemy ships and submarines. These data were collected by Royal Fleet specialists hunting submarines.
In the past, these records were difficult to use, but now they have become useful thanks to new technologies. The Lura system, developed by European company Helling, uses artificial intelligence to “illuminate” the oceans and find Russian submarines. The Royal Fleet ordered an AI study for underwater monitoring, after which Helling developed Lura.
Lura could be distinguished between even ships of the same class by their unique noise. The system builds a network of underwater sensors that work as underwater satellites. Bonders with sensors can be patrols in the sea for months, looking for weak -sounding sounds.
According to technology Niall Cartwright, hundreds of gliders can be launched in water. They just listen, and if the unique activity is noticed – for example, a Russian submarine – they rise and report data.
A drone is ineffective, but in large numbers they create a serious restraint: it becomes more difficult for the enemy to act without notice.
Remember that the Russian Federation said that “is working on the creation of a new generation’s strategic nuclear submarine cruiser.”
