The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on Poland to take steps due to blocking the carriers border.
Ukraine’s Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Alexander Mishchenko, met with the head of the Poland Embassy in Ukraine Peter Lukashevich in connection with the situation of blocking the checkpoint of border roads. This was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, May 13.
The Ukrainian side urged to take comprehensive measures to prevent blocking transportation routes between Ukraine and Poland, which is important to support our state’s economy and have the important importance of humanitarian in the conditions of Russia’s ongoing armed invasion.
Mishchenko emphasized the inability of the influence of the domestic political situation on the eve of the president’s election in Poland both in the economic interests of our countries and the relations with Ukrainian-polish as a whole.
“In this context, the Deputy Minister turned to Peter Lukashevich with a request to provide contact between the Poland government and protesters to discuss their actions and eliminate the grounds for blocking the Ukrainian -Polish border at this checkpoint,” the report said.
Remember, on May 12, Poland carriers blocked the passage of the Yagodin-Dorogusk point. The movement of trucks is limited. Many carriers in the queue opened and joined the other routes.
