German company Rheinmetall and the Ukrainian defense industry, the Ukrainian defense industry, concludes a cooperation memorandum, if possible, creating a business for the manufacture of ammunition artillery in Ukraine. This was reported by the UkroboronProm press service on Tuesday, May 13.
The signing took place in Madrid. The parties have come to an end that they intend to cooperate based on future individual contracts to create production capabilities in Ukraine for the manufacture of ammunition artillery.
“An entire war war has shown that the need for artillery shells is huge, and that the existing capabilities of businesses are not sufficient for its full range. Therefore, every new bullet, each new production line is critical to ensure troops. We must use all the possibilities to create such capacities,” said Oleg Gulyak, General Director of Ukroboronomp.
Remember that in June 2024 the first workshop for repairing and manufacturing the armored vehicles of the first joint adventure of Ukroboronprom and Rheinmetal began operations.
Rheinmetall’s remembrance is ready to provide a possible international peacekeeping mission after the end of the Russian War against Ukraine.
