The appointment of Russian veterans to work administrations supports the efforts of the Russian Federation to militarize Ukrainian territories.

Russia will militarize the temporary occupied territories (TO) of Ukraine and enhances control over local authorities. This is stated in the Institute’s daily report for the study of war Isw.

The governor of Sevastopol, controlled by the invaders, Mikhail Razvozhaev was held on May 8 at a meeting in the implementation of Sevastopol -city of heroes.

“Sevastopol – the city of hero” was created according to the model of the President of the Russia Vladimir Putin “Hour of Heroes”, aimed at the appointment of war veterans in Ukraine for government posts to the occupied Ukraine and the Russian Federation, “the analysts said.

According to Razvozhaev, 933 Russian veterans registered with the program, 474 went through qualification tests, and 307 were held in the final touring tour.

The finalists will serve in various sectors of Sevastopol management management, and the rest will remain in the administrative-frame reserve.

The ISW remembered the creation of similar programs to temporarily conquered the Kherson and Lugansk regions.

“The appointment of Russian veterans to work administrations supports Russia’s efforts to militarize the conquered (part of Ukraine) and strengthen Kremlin’s control over local authorities,” the analysts added.
