Russia and Vietnam agreed to organize and sign an agreement on the construction of nuclear power plants. This was reported by Reuters, which refers to the joint statement of the countries after visiting Vietnam leader Lama in Moscow.

Vietnam continued plans for the construction of nuclear power plants, which suspended nearly ten years ago.

The country’s government has previously said it expects the commission of the first nuclear power plants with a total capacity of up to 6.4 GW between 2030 and 2035.

In early 2025, Khana official said he would do negotiations on projects in the field of nuclear energy along with foreign partners, including Russia, Japan, South Korea, France and the United States.

The statement also noted that Vietnam and Russia have agreed to strengthen cooperation with the oil and gas industry, including Russian oil supply and natural gas in Vietnam.

Countries will also contribute to the increasing existence of energy companies to each other.

Earlier, Russia and China’s media plans to build a nuclear power plant over the moon as part of the construction of the International Moon Research Station. The lunar base energy supply will be given additional giant solar panels.

Remember that last year in June, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin visited Vietnam.
