Forced mobilization is a crime against humanity, because people are forced to commit crimes, the human rights activist said.
In ORDLO, 100,000 men were forcibly mobilized, of those mobilized, nearly one in four died. The founder of the NGO Eastern Human Rights Group, director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Security, the human rights activist Pavel Lisyansky said this in the press center of Ukrinform, presenting an analytical report “Forcible mobilization in the temporarily occupied territories of Lugansk and Donetsk regions.”
“According to our data, there are more than 100,000 cases of forced mobilization against people (ORDLO residents) … By the end of April, 23,000 of those forcibly mobilized had died. These are terrible numbers . And now such forced mobilization continues again and again, each of them is delayed by a day. If we calculate how many people they detain every hour, this is a terrible figure,” said Lysyansky .
He recalled that in 2021, the LDNR, under the control of military curators from Russia, carried out eight mobilizations of reservists on the territory of ORDLO under the program of the General Staff from Russia “BARS” (the combat army reserve personnel): in fact, it was a training session before a large-scale invasion of Ukraine.
“There are facts that the Russian Federation began to prepare for a large-scale aggression against Ukraine in 2021… In August 2021, they forced the workers into buses and took them so that no one knew about them. It was in 2021. And this is a very important fact for the international criminal court,” added Lisyansky.
According to him, thousands of Ukrainian citizens living in ORDLO, under the threat of life and health, were sent to the front line as human shields.
“Forced mobilization is a crime against humanity, because people are forced to commit crimes. Of course, there are those who dig trenches, and there are those who shoot, and we do not justify them. sent to war, “the human rights activist stressed.
Recall that the protégé of the Russian invaders, the so-called “leader” of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, reported that he sent the so-called “Crimean battalion” in the amount of 1,200 “volunteer” fighters to the war against Ukraine .
