Minister of Economics Yulia Sviridenko called on deputies to vote for the ratification of the investor between Ukraine and the United States, which is part of the mineral agreement.
In her speech, she stated that this agreement is part of the broad security and strategic cooperation between Ukraine and the United States.
According to her, the reconstruction investment fund provided by the agreement on minerals between Ukraine and the United States can work in a few weeks. Sviridenko says that the agreement on the restrictions of the partnership and the agreement on the functions of the investment fund should not be signed by representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, since this is a commercial agreement
The agreement does not provide for the transfer to the investment fund neither subsoil, or current licenses for production or state enterprises.
Are real estate transferred? No, not transmitted. Are licenses or state enterprises transferred? Property is not transferred, licenses are not transferred. We ourselves determine where to produce what to do. Control, I would like to emphasize once again that on the bowels, since the constitution should comply with the people of Ukraine, ”Sviridenko explained.
As of early May, 47% of Ukrainian citizens had more positive expectations of signing a mineral agreement with the United States.
The agreement provides for the creation of a special fund that will manage the income from the use of certain types of natural resources, infrastructure and some other assets in Ukraine.
Military assistance provided by the United States is not considered as a contribution of the United States. Everything that the United States will allocate after signing the agreement will be considered its investments.
