The Kremlin leadership has complicated the process of obtaining compensation for injuries for its own soldiers.
Russians, who were injured during the war in Ukraine, in the Russian Federation began to be widely denied insurance payments. The StratCom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Department of Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) reported this on Thursday, July 21.
“In case of damage, the military can claim compensation from the insurer of the Sogaz Defense Ministry and three million rubles in payments. But since May, the slightly injured have been denied the same,” the report said.
In particular, the Russian could not receive compensation for a shrapnel wound and concussion, the other – for both a shrapnel wound and a tendon injury.
“The medics refused to record the injuries, because, by order of the Russian Ministry of Defense, only injuries in a 1998 government order could claim payments. The order was sharpened for peace. And it turns out that a broken finger is an insurance event, and a mine explosive injury with multiple shrapnel wounds – no,” they explained to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Remember that Russia spends almost $400 million on military operations in Ukraine every day.
