Employed Zaporizhzhia NPP threatened black.
On Wednesday, May 7, as a result of hostile shelling, nuclear power plants lost the strength of one of two external transmission lines that connect temporarily busy “atomic” ones with the combined energy system of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
From the Russian strike, one of the transmission lines that connects the temporarily occupied Zaporizhjya NPP with the Ukrainian energy system, again turned off, the report said.
The head of the Ministry of Energy, German Galushchenko, said that the APP will be restored as soon as this allowed the safety situation. Currently, the station receives a power source with only one power transmission line, therefore, the provision of an external power supply of the station necessary for safe operation is again in jeopardy. And a complete disconnection of the shutdown of the “atom” will pose a serious threat to radiation safety.
The department recalled that since the beginning of a full -fledged invasion of ZPP has been a complete dimming eight times and has repeatedly been on the verge of disconnection.
Recall that in March, Russian invaders cannot even ensure basic security. At the Atom, a tank used to store diesel fuel was damaged. It will be enough to fill the fuel to power the generators of the stations for 25 days.
