In Zurich, a 68-year-old woman appeared in court for systematically feeding other people’s cats and even arranged to enter her apartment.
A Zurich resident is on a bench for the defendants for a seemingly good work – a woman who regularly feeds a nearby cat named Leo. Swissinfo reported it.
However, under the Swiss law, such a law qualifies as an illegal designation of other people’s property, as the cat is legally legal.
The prosecutor’s office insisted the penalty for a pensioner. The case was referred to in court after the accused refused to make a preliminary decision on the penalty.
According to the case file, for ten months the woman repeatedly fed Leo and let her enter her apartment, even after she received a written ban from the animal owned. Additionally, she installed a special cat gate so that the cat could be independent and leave her housing. As a result, Leo no longer wants to return to his master.
In recent years, such incidents in Switzerland have become more common, as animals have begun to complain more often about “breadwinners”. It is noteworthy that a single other person’s cat treatment is not a criminal offense. But systematic care and shelter is a serious violation.
Earlier it was reported that the Kiev woman had received a sentence for killing a cat, which came down from the eighth floor.
Cats cover 1,500 km and go home two months after disappearing
