Even before the official start of the Eurovision-2025, the competition was in the midst of a strong scandal-all over the question of a foreign journalist who indicated that the war in Ukraine was said to provide the country’s advantage.
The Eurovision-2025 has not been managed to begin, but has ended in the middle of the discussion.
The reason is not a song, but the inappropriate question that a journalist from Denmark is asked by Ukrainian group Ziferblat, a Ukrainian representative this year.
In an interview, Danish Mediocrine indicated that the war in Ukraine was said to provide the advantage of the competitors in the competition. His replica brought the guitarist of the group Valentin Leshchinsky, who answered emotion:
“For every person in the world, for the nation, war is a minus. How can war be an advantage? How can I just say, we must participate, speak, know that our homes are bombing. What are the other advantages?” – Team’s guitarist Valentin Leshchinsky is angry.
A fragment of a video with this conversation was immediately scattered on the network -thousands of users X (Twitter) expressed anger and turned to the media that the journalist was accredited.
After a fuzzy criticism, the publication edition published an official apology:
“We sincerely apologize for the inappropriate question asked of Ukrainian artists. The Eurovision is about unity and music, and we do not mean to crack Ukraine’s incredible talent – or their current struggle – in a simple compassion. We thought it inside and doing better,” the publication wrote.
Earlier it was reported that the Ziferblat Group, who went to the basel for the Eurovision Song Contest-2025, said how much funds were spent on participating in the competition and how financing was distributed.
