The numbers available to the US Central Intelligence Agency differ from the UAF numbers.
The United States estimates the losses of the Russian Federation in Ukraine “in the region of 15,000 dead and almost three times as many wounded.” This was announced on Wednesday, July 20, by CIA Director William Burnsina at the Aspen Security Forum, quotes his CBS News.
“The latest estimates from the US intelligence community are in the region of 15,000 dead and about three times as many wounded,” he said.
At the same time, the CIA director noted that the Ukrainians also suffered significant losses, but not as significant as Russia.
“And the Ukrainians also suffered – maybe less, but still, you know, these are significant losses,” the CIA director added.
He also added that Russian troops are focused on trying to capture the eastern region of Ukraine.
It should be noted that, according to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from February 24 to July 20, the total loss of personnel of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine was approximately 38,750 people (+200 per day).
Earlier, the Russian military told how the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed their equipment and soldiers in Chernobaevka, but then the Russian military returned there anyway.
