It is noted that 55% of the population is afraid of increases. At the same time, only 16% are prepared in the event of a threat to actively protect Austria. In men, there is more such (27%) than in women (9%).

In addition, respondents called the Russian aggressive war against Ukraine the world’s greatest threat to Europe, then the current US policy and transfer to Europe. Most Austrians also experience fear of Islamic terrorist attacks in the country.

Remember that Austria until 2032 will increase defense costs to 2% of GDP and contribute to Europe’s security.
