In the immediate security zone – 16 km from the city city center of Hague – there is a ban on all flights. Restrictions will also be introduced to the sea as well.
During the NATO Summit, which will take place in the Hague in June, the Netherlands will strengthen security measures, temporarily limiting airspace and sea space. This was reported by Nu.nl.
Within a radius of 16 km from the Hague, flights were completely banned. We talk about airspace in the western regions of the country and the sea on the coast of South Holland. An exception will only be made for the aircraft involved in ensuring security or medical evacuation.
Also, within 93 km from the city, the wider restrictions will be valid: airlines can conduct flights only with special government permission.
Restrictions will affect the country’s largest airport – Schiphol. One of the paths will be used to place the aircraft of the official delegations, the other is in repair. This, according to initial estimates, will reduce the number of flights by 10%.
In addition, from June 20 to June 25, sea shipping restrictions will be applied near the climax area. First, until June 23, fishing and tourist vehicles with special permission will walk. After that, the motion is completely prohibited. At the same time, the Rotterdam port will work without changing.
Keep in mind that the June Nato Summit in The Hague is worth 183 million euros, which has been announced nearly twice the 95 million euros.
NATO has decided to temporarily suspend a discussion on changes in the strategic approach to Russia, while the United States continues to negotiate the peaceful regulating war in Ukraine.
