The Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kiyiv took into custody of two suspects of 120 thousand faulty mines.

“The investigating judge of the Shevchenkivsky district court in Kyiv, Volodymyr Bugil, filed a petition of the SBU investigator and applied Mikhail Shkurrenko and the head of the control group of Yuri Yarez measurement in the form of deposit, to the former head of the military representatives of the Ministry of Defense.
It is noted that the case is also suspected:
- General Director of the defense plant Leonid Shiman;
- His first deputy Alexei Kirichenko.
The problem of choosing a preventive measure is solved.
According to the investigation:
- In 2024, the Office of the Defense Plant in Delipetrovsk concluded an agreement with the defense purchase agency for the production of ammunition for the Armed Forces. The company was supposed to put wholesale parties of 120 mm mortar shots at 11 billion UAH;
- The study showed that during production a mixture of powders was used, one of which is not intended for charges up to 120 mm mortar shots, which led to an unstable charge. In addition, capsules had defects that caused sections;
- OO, when well -known problems, the suspects did not stop production, trying to make a profit from state orders;
- Officials of the military representative office participating in the scheme did not carry out proper quality control and made false data in the reporting;
- The armed forces received more than 120,000 inappropriate shots, which were recalled from the front, which caused significant damage to the defense forces.
