The new ECHR chairman will be eliminated on May 30, when the powers of the current President of Echr Mark Boshnyak will expire.
The new chairman of the European Court of Human Rights is the judge from France Matias Guillaume. This was announced on April 28 by the ECHR judge from Ukraine Nikolai Gnatovsky.
“The European Court of Human Rights in the plenary session today is elected Matias Guillaume, a judge selected from France, and the current chairman of the VAR section, the next ECHR president,” he said.
According to Gnatovsky, the new ECHR leader will be removed on May 30, when the judges of the current ECHR Mark Boshnyak president will end.
Remember that the European Court of Human Rights has adopted 158 decisions in Ukraine last year.
It has also been reported that President Vladimir Zelensky signed a law that allowed you to change court decisions due to extraordinary circumstances based on the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights even after the expiry of a 10-year period.
