The Vikrant Indian aircraft carrier will be accompanied by the Rafale Marine Fighters Dassault Aviation.
The Armed Forces of France Sebastian Lexorny minister announced the signing of a 26 Rafale Marine Fighters purchase agreement. He wrote about it on Social Network X on Monday.
“Today, an intergovernmental agreement has been signed confirming the Order of India in France 26 Rafale Marine Aircraft Dassault Aviation. We are grateful to our Indian partners for their new confidence in the perfect French defense industry,” he wrote.
In this regard, Dassault Aviation reports that there are 36 Rafale aircraft in India today.
“The Rafale Marine aircraft will provide India’s armed forces with the most modern capabilities, and the Indian Navy will benefit from the French Navy experience, which is already running this aircraft,” the report said.
Remember that in July 2023, the India Ministry of Defense issued permission to buy 26 French deck fighters Rafale M and three French submarines of Scorpene class. Rafale M Fighter will be given an Indian aircraft Vikrant.
And in January 2024, France and India agreed to make weapons together. The agreement ended with the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron in India.
