The Kiberaka is said to have occurred following the explosion of the country’s largest port and a destruction of negotiations in the United States under a nuclear program.
Iran announced the successful consulting of a large -scale cyber attack aimed at the country’s critical infrastructure on Sunday, April 27, said Behzad Akbari, head of the infrastructure communications company. Reuters reported on Monday, April 28.
“One of the most large -scale and complex cyber attacks on the country’s infrastructure has been discovered, and prevention measures have been taken,” Akbari said.
The incident occurred the day after a strong explosion on the Port of Bender Abbas, the largest port of the Iran container. The cause of the explosion remains unknown, though suspected chemicals can cause explosion.
The Iranian Ministry of Defense has denied international media reports that the explosion may be associated with improper handling of solid fuel used for missiles.
The incidents took place against the background of the end of the third cycle of nuclear negotiations between Iran and USA in Oman. Historically, Iran has accused Israel of such attacks on the cyber, including major attacks on gas stations in 2021 and 2023. In 2023, the Predator Sparrow Group was responsible for attacking, saying it was an answer to the “invasion of the Islamic Republic and its proxies in the region.”
Remember, on April 26, a powerful explosion collapsed in the port of Shahid Rajai in the southern city of Bandar-Abbas. At least 25 people were killed and more than 700 were injured as a result of a strong explosion on Iran Bandar Abbas’s largest port.
